In case you need a reminder of how the Chinese cull their dogs:
Dog owners in a Chinese city have been ordered to hand over their pets so they can be destroyed.Remind me again how China is undergoing an "economic miracle"? One would think that such an economy could afford some rabies vaccine.
The authorities want to slaughter them as part of an ongoing fight against rabies.
Residents of the Wanzhou district of Chongqing have until March 15 to surrender their animals.

According to the media, there have been three cases of rabies in the area in the past year — one of them fatal.
