Friday Diamondblogging: New Kennel!
(Why aren't you reading this at the new website?)

---
Diamond and I were thrown a curve ball about two weeks ago when we learned that the kennel doggy hotel we had been using ever since I adopted her was going out of business. Damn Schumpeterian "creative destruction"!

The timing was an especial bummer since I am leaving tonight for a short vacation in Mexico City.

So I had to find, on short notice, a new kennel doggy resort. I chose a more top-shelf chain than her last kennel doggy hotel, which is fine as Diamond is of course a top-shelf dog.

The facility has a nice, welcoming ambience to it:

Diamond was excited by all the scents and sounds, but nervous too, as she tends to be in new places:

But the staff won her over quickly:

And she'll have lots of new friends to play with:

And maybe she'll even learn a trick or two:

I hate being away from her, and I know she hates being away from me. But after almost 18 months without a real vacation, I need to take a break, even if that means taking a break from her.

Best dog in the world...
