Meta-Blegging: NYC and/or Gay Blogs?

I just culled a bunch of secondary legal and political blogs from my blogroll and therefore have some excess capacity in my aggregator.
I'd like to bulk up the NYC and Gay categories and welcome any recommendations. I lean toward substantive blogs, preferably with a political, philosophical or otherwise intellectual bent. Humor/satire blogs are also a welcome addition.
