On "Self-Loathing" Gays

So the Democrat pervert-President Bill Clinton thinks that a gay Republican consultant who — gasp! — actually got married in Massachusetts is “self-loathing”? (See also OpinionJournal.)
As opposed to whom exactly? The fool gays who actually supported this sleazeball who paid them back with Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and federal DOMA?
Um, no.
Let’s be clear about this: both parties politically use and abuse gays in their own way. The Democrats use them as ignorant "in your pocket" votes; Republicans use them as a lightning rod to stir up their own bigot voters. But both parties exploit ignorance. One is not automatically more or less despicable than the other. And gays who ally with one party or the other are no more or less “self-loathing” than the other. No, they’re all equally misguided.
Stated differently, all gays are libertarians. Some just don’t know it yet.
